Our organization has a small budget ($5,000 - $10,000) annually, but we must follow HRM approved accounting practices.
We are seeking a new treasurer to keep our organization on the right track. The past treasurer has had to step back for family commitments, but will train and guide the new replacement.
Potential Duties
- Prepare brief financial statements for monthly board meetings (via Zoom).
- Help prepare annual budget for operations and trail maintenance.
- Keep track of expenses and pay bills on time.
Skills Needed
- Responsible and organized.
- Previous experience with volunteer associations and/or financial skills an asset, but not required.
Location
Mix of online and on-site. Our organization is based in Clayton Park, Fairview, Bedford South. It is preferred that you live in the area, but not required.
We meet for hikes and trail maintenance on local trails. Attendance in these activities is not a required part of the position, but might be fun.
Our board meetings are held via Zoom, and other business can be done by phone.
Timeline
Available on an ongoing basis.
Commitment
3 flexible hours per week, 1 monthly board meeting (3rd Thursday of the month evenings)
