Join the Biodiversity Caucus for a free, educational event about invasive species in Nova Scotia. Gain insights into the world of invasive species, their impact on the province's biodiversity, and how you can recognize and report sightings. Several invasive species will be highlighted as well as the ongoing work to prevent the spread of invasive species in Nova Scotia.

 Hughstin Grimshaw-Surette
 Terrestrial Project Coordinator

Hughstin graduated from Saint Mary’s University in 2020 with a Master of Applied Science degree in Biology, where he studied ways to improve green roof habitat for insect pollinators. As the Terrestrial Project Coordinator for the Nova Scotia Invasive Species Council, he is involved with invasive plant and insect surveys, invasive plant management, and outreach activities. He is passionate about working with communities to engage in discussions about invasive species and what we can do to protect native biodiversity.
